This hunt is on a free range ranch about 3 hours west of Austin, Texas.  The hunt is for a trophy Axis buck with a minimum of 28 inch horns.  The hunt is three days, begining on Friday and ending on Sunday (other days can be worked out). 

You will be allowed one trophy Axis buck, one Axis doe, and one feral hog.  This is a spot and stalk type hunt in 'big' hill type country. 

There will be 2x1 guides, lodging, meals (continental breakfast and dinner), and game care (caping and quartering) after the harvest. 

The ranch specializes in Axis over 30".  On this ranch they have taken in the last few months several axis monsters, one with 37"horns.

To ensure a good hunt you need to feel comfortable shooting approximately 200 yards and be in reasonably good shape due to the terrain being hunted.  This is no 'canned hunt.'  It is on a free range, low fenced ranch so be prepared for some good hikes on the spot and stalks. 

 The ranch can hunt groups as large as six hunters. 

The cost of this hunt is only $1950 per hunter.
